2010 Themes

The emphasis of the 2010 Universal Biotech Innovation Grant will be placed on therapeutic innovation.

Applications must be entered under one of the two following thematic areas:

• Innovative therapies

• Diagnostic products

Eligibility criteria

The innovations submitted must follow the following conditions:

• The innovation must be entered under one of the two requested thematic areas
• The innovation must be subject to a patent or any kind of intellectual property in the process of registration
• The innovation must not be subject to any form of commercialisation at the time the dossier is submitted

The participants must be:

• A French or European Young Innovative Company
• A French or European research team member
• Individual

The letter of intent must be complete, presented within the allotted timeframes and in the formats requested.

Evaluation criteria

The innovations will be evaluated according to the following criteria.

• Scientific quality of the innovation
• Project progress stage
• Intellectual and industrial property
• Medical need and positionning
• Quality of resources
• Chance of success

Timetable

• February 2010: opening of application procedures : submission forms available on the website
• 20 May 2010: closing date for application
• June 2010: submission of full application forms
• July 2010: Jury meeting and provisionnal selection announcement
• August 2010: last jury meeting / oral presentations and final discussion
• 5 october 2010: Universal Biotech Innovation Grant award ceremony during the Innovation Days, A Pharma & Biotech Event
